Cleaning Up Your Google+ Communities

Google Plus Communities are gaining ground and is finding lot of interests among social media enthusiasts and users. It is the best to start building your network and relationship with people of similar interests. Once you join, it is always better to review them now and then to keep it organized.
Just like we organize our Circles, we need to do the same thing with Communities regularly if we're going to continue to gain value from the Communities and Google+.

It is better to review those communities that either aren't active, or are not providing you with the valuable discussion you were looking for. These excess communities add to the total number of communities listed on your community page, complicating your ability to find and participate in the communities you're interested in. Google Plus Search Update

Google brings in improvements to G+ Search. Most significant is how searching is now less disruptive, while it is easier to categorize results.

On a results page, users can now filter by Posts , Communities, Collections, and People & Pages thanks to a new tabbed interface. When in the Posts tab, users can also filter posts from everyone, from people you follow or just you.
Another improvement is, a new, tabbed interface making it easier for you to find the exact type of content that you’re looking for.  Popular Topics are now displayed in the search bar dropdown.

These features should now be widely rolling out to all Google+ web users.

We hope that this creates a better experience for new users that more readily communicates the awesome stuff G+ has to offer while providing existing users with a fun way to find and follow creators they haven’t yet, ahem, discovered. If you glance over at your left-hand navigation bar, you’ll notice a shiny ‘Discover’ tab waiting to be explored. Inside, you’ll find trending posts from curated sources in a new, denser format. Also inside are Featured Collections, Recommended Communities, and the previously announced Topics - which got a bit of a makeover as well, so be sure to check them out!
